SUMMARY:

The UK government’s plan to increase its spending on cyber security by £1.9bn shows how real cyber attack threats are. This comes a year after the previous government said it was making cyber security a top priority and announced exactly the same investment. Ben Gummer, minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General, said: “No longer the stuff of spy thrillers and action movies, cyber attacks are a reality and they are happening now.”

Did you know that the average time from infection to detection is 243 days? Is your organisation prepared to prevent and handle a cyber attack?

Join our cyber security breakfast hosted by Arhont Information Security and Volta and watch a live email hacking demonstration. Meet an ethical hacker and find out more about helping your organisation prevent and handle cyber attacks. Breakfast, tea and coffee will be provided.
