Volta Data Centres has become a member of the European Data Centre Association (EUDCA). This brings huge benefits to the company, including increased global awareness and access to key industry events and European operators. Most important to Volta, however, is the opportunity it affords them to be involved in and influence political objectives at a European level.
The not for profit organisation offers support both politically and commercially to the European data centre community and enables growth for its members. At the same time, it conducts technical and commercial research on behalf of its members, keeping them up to date with industry developments and trends.
The EUDCA has a voice politically at the European Commission, acting on behalf of its members. This means Volta can, through the EUDCA, directly comment on and influence discussions around any decisions which may impact the data centre sector. Equally, where there are opportunities to positively impact growth and revenue, the appropriate lobbying can be actioned.
Within the EUDCA, Volta aims to influence discussions around:
- The regulation and legislation impacting on the data centre industry
- The formation of political objectives at national and European level
